In November 2024, MELO partnered with the Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library in Washington, D.C., and the Smithsonian Institution to create a live exhibit and film screening experience.
Following the event in Washington, D.C., MELO developed a 30’x50’ road show featuring screenings and performances. Beginning in March 2025, the exhibit will be displayed at several key colleges, universities, and cultural venues in the suburban Chicago (Aurora) area, supported by the Dunham Foundation.
MELO’s goal is to bring this exhibit experience to colleges, universities, and cultural venues across the United States to educate audiences on the importance of the Green Book, Black musicians, and the role they played during segregation.
